Canopy Tour Facts
Canopy Tours in Tropical Rainforest: Canopy Los CañonesCanopy Los Cañones starts in their reception where the guides help with the required equipment for the activity. Soon after a vehicle will take people to the first platform where they will be instructed on the commands and positions that will be used, as well as a series of safety measures. The Canopy tour consists of a series of cables attached from tree to tree on which you glide along using a pulley that it's secured to climbing equipment (the harness). You will be enjoying the tour safely hanging facing front as you soar through the rainforest. (although people are encouraged to try different positions to make it more memorable). The Canopy Los Cañones ziplines consists of 15 cables and 16 platforms, traveling a full distance of 3 kilometers (1.86 miles), making it one of the longest in the area. The cable distances vary from 50 meters (164.04 feet) to 500 meters (1,640.42 feet) with varying heights and speeds. Because of the Costa Rica tropical rainforest ambient of the tour, it is possible to see wild life at its best. With the eyes opened and it can be caught a glimpse of the howler monkeys, sloths, coatis, and even some exotic birds that roam wild in the branches of the trees. Once the tour is completed you will find yourself walking through a cobble stoned path and crossing one crocodile and cayman exhibition followed by one of frogs and a butterfly garden. You can also relax in some hot or spring fresh water pools complete with water slides for no additional cost. |
